Position Announcement: Pastor

College Station Chinese Church (CSCC) is seeking a full-time Pastor to shepherd the congregation. CSCC is located in College Station, Texas, home of the Texas A&M University (TAMU). Established in 1976, CSCC is an evangelical, Bible-based, non-denominational church.  We minister to families and students with Chinese background from mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, other southeastern Asian areas, and from other places in Texas and the United States. Our students attend TAMU as well as other neighboring schools. We use both English and Chinese as languages for services. Typically, attendance in Sunday services fluctuates from 40 (during the school breaks) to 110.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Preaching on pulpit for Sunday worship services
• Teaching adult Sunday school
• Equipping and providing support to ministry leaders such as youth group, Sunday School teachers, and home group leaders
• Leading a small group when needed
• Equipping and empowering lay leaders
• Visitation of members and visitors
• Counseling members of the congregation

Qualifications

• Hear a clear calling from God, and have a shepherd's heart for God's flock
• Be a loving and devoted Christian with spiritual depth, vision, integrity, and leadership
• Be a graduate of an accredited bible college or seminary
• Possess good communication skills
• Be able to work with members of diverse backgrounds
• Be fluent in spoken and written English (preferably in Chinese as well)

Preferences will be given to a candidate with two or more years of pastoral experience in North America, especially with experience in Chinese American churches. It is also preferable that the successful candidate be ordained and married.
